Alaka

Alaka is a handmade locket in sterling silver 925, set with a round slice of dendritic quartz that you look straight through into the pendant.

Dendritic quartz is clear quartz with fern-like inclusions of iron, manganese and hematite that grew in a fractal pattern, like a tiny landscape of trees. The name comes from the Greek word dendron, meaning tree. The locket opens and is about 17 mm across, so it can hold a picture, a lock of hair, an amulet or the ashes of someone you love.
