Black Spinel necklace

A necklace strung with 2 mm faceted black spinel beads, with small hammered silver charms spaced along the strand. Every charm was hammered by hand, so each one catches the light differently.

The dark beads sit close to the neck and the silver flickers between them, which is where the piece gets its resemblance to an Egyptian collar. Black spinel is known as a grounding, protective stone.
