February Amethyst & Gold ring
A rose-cut amethyst held in six prongs on a slim band of 14k yellow gold. The stone sits high, so it catches the light from every side.
The purple is soft and a little cloudy rather than glassy, which keeps the ring from feeling formal. It sits somewhere between a statement piece and a fine ring, so it works on its own and just as well stacked with a plain gold band. Amethyst is the birthstone for February.
