Street tile ring

A wide band in sterling silver 925, cast from a print of a Rotterdam street tile. The rough, uneven surface of the tile is kept intact, and small silver drops run along both edges.

The ring was made for Stadsparels (City Pearls), a series in which Nastasia went looking for unseen jewels in the city and turned fragments of Rotterdam into something you can wear. The dark recesses and bright raised parts give it depth and a raw, urban feel. It is a solid, one of a kind piece that works on its own and suits any hand.
